LoRa1280 and LoRa1280F27 wireless module parameter comparison

The LoRa1280 wireless module and the LoRa1280F27 wireless module are 2.4g wireless modules developed by Sietech based on Semtech's SX1280 chip. Some customers have asked us about the difference between these two 2.4g wireless modules. So here we think of wireless comparison of parameters, so that you can have a better understanding of these 2.4g wireless modules, so choose a 2.4g wireless module that is more suitable for your project.

LoRa1280 and LoRa1280F27 wireless module parameter comparison

First, let's briefly introduce two products:

LoRa1280 2.4g wireless module

The LoRa1280 is a high-performance IoT wireless module in the long-distance 2.4GHz band. It integrates Semtech's high-performance RF chip SX1280. The module uses LoRa modulation mode and has a very high receiving sensitivity. The LoRa1280 integrates the "time of flight" function to enable wireless ranging.

 

LoRa1280F27 2.4g wireless module

The LoRa1280F27 uses Semtech's SX1280 RF chip, with an external PA, and an output power of up to 500mW (27dBm). The operating frequency band is 2.4GHz. LoRa modulation is used for better receiver sensitivity and interference immunity.

From the parameters in the table, the output power of the LoRa1280 module is 12.5dBm,the receiving current is <10mA, the emission current is <60mA, and the output power of the LoRa1280F27 module is 27.0dBm, the receiving current is<17mA, and the emission current is <600mA (the power will be affecting the current parameters of the wireless module, the higher the power, the greater the power consumption of the receiving and transmitting currents; the transmission distance LoRa1280 is 1.7km, the LoRa1280F27 is 4km, and other parameters such as sensitivity and transmission rate are the same. So we can know from the parameter comparison that LoRa1280F27 is the power upgrade version of the LoRa1280 module. So between the LoRa1280 and the LoRa1280F27,how do customers choose?
