Recently, our company has launched BLE 5.2 and BLE 5.1 BLE modules BLE5201, BLE5101. Taking this opportunity, the NiceRF editor will introduce the difference between BLE 5.2, BLE 5.1, BLE 5.0, BLE 4.2, BLE 4.1, BLE 4.0.
Performance difference:
BLE 4.0: Start to support low power consumption mode.
BLE 4.1: Improved data transmission to meet the needs of wearable devices.
BLE 4.2: The single-packet data has increased from a maximum of 24 bytes to 247 bytes. Compared with BLE 4.0, the data transmission speed has been increased by about 2.5 times.
BLE 5.0: Compared with BLE 4.2, the data transmission rate is increased by 2 times; the theoretical transmission distance can reach 300 meters, which is 4 times that of BLE 4.2; power consumption is reduced.
BLE 5.1: Added direction finding function and positioning function, replacing traditional wifi auxiliary positioning.
BLE 5.2: The service discovery speed after Bluetooth connection is shortened, and communication can be started faster after connection. In addition, it is not much different from BLE 5.1.
