FEM Module (Front-End Module) is a key component in wireless communication systems, integrating multiple RF functionalities to enhance and optimize the transmission and reception performance of RF signals.
The PA01F39 module is a high-performance FEM module operating in the 400-480MHz frequency range, integrating various RF functionalities. It features a built-in power amplifier (PA) supporting input power up to 30dBm and delivering output power exceeding 39dBm. Additionally, it includes a low-noise amplifier (LNA) circuit and an antenna switch. With its stamp hole package design, the module is compact and easy to embed, significantly reducing the complexity of developing high-power wireless modules, simplifying design processes, and improving development efficie ncy.
The module is available with IPEX and SMA interfaces, making it suitable for high-power amplification in wireless data transmission and wireless voice transmission applications.
n Ultra-wide frequency range: 400-480 MHz
n Wide voltage range: 4-8.5V
n Built-in transmit/receive switch, allowing both reception and transmission with a single antenna
n Built-in low-noise amplification, with a noise figure (NF) of 1.0 dB
Actual Measurement of Module Input and Output Power
The FEM module is essentially a signal enhancement and optimization component. Its functions include power amplification, low-noise amplification, antenna switching, and filtering, but it does not support signal modulation/demodulation or protocol processing. Therefore, it needs to be used in conjunction with a module or chip.
Here, we use our full-duplex intercom module SA618F30-DZ for testing to compare the specific changes in input and output power.

Heat Dissipation Considerations
This module is a high-power module that generates significant heat during operation. Proper heat dissipation is essential for long-term use. NiceRF provides a heat sink as standard with the module, but users can choose whether to install it. Users can also design their own heat dissipation solutions based on their system's structure.
The following table shows the temperature rise data with the standard heat sink installed.
