Recently, some customers reported to our company that the radiation value of the DEMO board embedded with the wireless module on the PCB using the wire antenna test differs by more than 2 times. Today, NiceRF will show you how to correctly use the wire antenna on the PCB and the radiation test comparison.

The first test: first install a wire antenna on the demo board of the demo function embedded in the wireless module LoRa-CC68, and the wire antenna is more than 1cm away from the PCB (as shown in Figure 1), and then power on the demo board and connect a spectrum analyzer to observe the spectrum The radiation value on the graph of the meter (Figure 2).

The second test: the wire antenna is close to the PCB (Figure 3), then power on the DEMO function demonstration board and connect the spectrum analyzer, and observe the radiation value on the spectrum analyzer graph (Figure 4).

Through the above two tests, it can be seen that the demo board embedded with the wireless module uses a wire antenna on the PCB, and it needs to be at least 1cm away from the PCB, otherwise the radiation difference between the two is very far.
Use a wire antenna or spring antenna on the PCB, and the distance from the PCB must be more than 1cm.

Note: When installing the wire antenna, the wire antenna is in a vertical state (as shown in the figure ① above), which can keep the antenna in the best working condition.
