When some customers use NiceRF's nRF24L01+ module, the feedback transmission distance is not far enough.
NiceRF: What factors affect the transmission distance of the nRF24L01+ module and how to improve its transmission distance.
1. Antenna
Antenna gain is a rigid indicator. Generally, the higher the antenna gain, the longer the transmission distance. However, due to the usage scenario and the product's own conditions, it is not expected to use higher antenna gain to increase the communication distance.
2. Output power
Generally, the maximum output power of 2.4GHz is 0dBm. Exceeding this value usually causes two problems.
①When the output power is too large, it will interfere with other devices working at similar frequencies, causing other devices to fail to work normally.
②The PA circuit used to increase the output drastically increases the current consumption and heat generation of the device, and the wireless module using the PA is no longer suitable for low power consumption and mobile devices.
3. Data transmission power
For example: nRF24L01+ module RF2401F20. It supports both 250Kbps and 1Mbps data transmission rate. When other application parameters are the same, the actual measured communication distances of the two data transmission rates are quite different. The low-speed 250Kbps communication distance is at least 2 times that of the high-speed 1Mbps. There is not a large amount of data but a high transmission rate is greeted. As a result, the transmission distance will be affected.
1. Matching high gain antenna.
2. Increase the transmit power appropriately.
3. Adjust the appropriate transmission frequency.
4. These methods to improve the receiving sensitivity to improve the communication distance of the nRF24L01+ module.
