GPS location tracking system: Pet Tracker

This project is the latest GPS positioning and tracking system developed by NiceRF. It uses our GPS module GPS01, high-speed rf modem SV6500PRO, rf modem SV610Pro, and Beacon module Beacon600. It is mainly used for pet tracking and positioning.  

Advantage: With Mesh function, long transmission distance.

Features

1. Trace

Dog side is in sleep mode to save power. It will wake up get GPS data and send GPS data to User side every 5 second default. The interval can be set by user side.

User can track one dog side in one time. If need to change the traced dog side, user can press up/down key. Once the up/down key pressed, user side will ask APP for the ID of next dog side.

User side will only save one ID of dog side. If the link between APP and user side is lost, pressing up/down key will be invalid.

The following is a sample screen displayed. The arrow has 12 directions of dog side.

Cause GPS can only detect the direction of moving, so the direction is the delta of North.

2. Pair

There is a default ID and group for each user side and dog side. The default parameters can be set by USB.

User can change the group of user side and dog side by APP through beacon in downlink message. User can leave or enter group by modifying the group and ID.

Dog side will open an RX window to receive downlink message from APP. APP should return downlink message in 100ms when received an uplink message.

3. Repeater

Every User Side can repeat the message between other user side and dog side by VHF.

It will also repeat the message between App and other user side by beacon. It will only repeat messages in its group.

4. OTA

User can send OTA command to user side or dog side to upgrade firmware through VHF.

General Description

The system includes 2 part, user side and dog side. Dog side sends GPS data to User side through VHF. User side calculates the distance and direction between dog side and itself. The result will show on screen on user side and sent to APP by beacon.
